FALL SESSION 2026—August 28 - October 31

Our teen artists are welcomed into our studio space and provided materials to begin developing their own art practice at their own pace. Teachers begin each class with a guided drawing warm-up or a materials demonstration to model a regular sketchbook practice, afterwards students are invited to work on their own projects with teacher guidance. Artists are provided a sketchbook that we ask to be left at the studio for the duration of the session.

New teen students are introduced to the program with 3 prerequisite projects to complete before they begin learning how to devolop their own project ideas. These customizable projects include a ceramic piece, a mixed media watercolor and printmaking piece and an acrylic color wheel. The required projects are designed to get students acquainted with the studio space, learn best practices for material use and cleanup, and to practice composition studies and project development. Teachers are on hand to support artists on their project planning, materials and medium demonstrations and to offer a safe, encouraging space to explore and make art.
